Looking toward the horizon over Washington, D.C.’s Tidal Basin, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial features a 30 foot tall relief of Dr. King, inspired by the phrase, “Out of a mountain of despair, a stone of hope,” from his “I Have a Dream” speech delivered at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963. In addition to the “mountain” and “stone,” this sneak peek also features images of some of his famous quotes featured on a 450 foot long inscription wall.
